Phil of the Future involves a family from the future that ended up in our boring time.

The situation this episode involves a student at time traveling Phil’s school. The prankster at school turns out to be his great great grandfather. In Back to the Future fashion, Phil could screw up his future by coming into contact with his great great grandpappy Kyle.

Kyle is terrible at pranks. He keeps pranking a balding teacher in a sweater vest who thinks he is Michael Winslow, except he can’t really make sound effects. So he has nothing going for him at all. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t kill himself by the end of the school year. Maybe he could get a bench on the school grounds dedicated to him then.

Some things don’t happen that were supposed to happen, and suddenly Phil’s distant future is in jeopardy. If you time travel to the past and you mess up your future, I don’t believe that you slowly start to fade away. That’s too easy. If you screw things up you should disappear from existence, period.

What the heck is this now? A Godfather parody? Kids don’t even understand what the Godfather is! They pulled this crap in Rugrats in Paris: The Movie too! Writers must be trying to reach a generation of viewers who don’t know that a movie they have never seen has already been parodied to death.

“Wacky string?” It’s called silly string, you stupid idiots. This show is making me hate everybody. I don’t want to wear out the word “trite” but, you know, everything about this show is trite.
